November 22, 2000; The French Air Force has awarded SAGEM a $330 million contract to provide 750 guided bomb kits. These will include inertial and GPS guidance and a booster rocket able to take a 250kg bomb to a range of 50km. The kit will fit heavier bombs but won't have the same range. The deal includes options for another 2,250 kits. Half of the kits will be the all-weather version with an accuracy of 10m, while the other half will have an infrared seeker that will (under favorable weather conditions) provide
