The first of two RAH-66 Comanche armed recon helicopters has made its first flight in the "final configuration" (with the new tail, radar, and rotor pylon). The new tail design is intended to improve handling and performance. It includes some adjustable elements so that the flight test program can work out which is the best configuration for the production aircraft.--Stephen V Cole
