: Israeli Aircraft Industries is marketing its Peak-17 upgrade program for the Russian-built Mi-8 and Mi-17 helicopter types (NATO reporting name "Hip"). The package includes:

@ New avionics, day/night operations, glass cockpit (graphic displays rather than gauges).

@ Defensive measures, including chaff, flares, and a jammer, as well as threat detection.

@ Weapons including unguided rockets and/or the guided Spike and Dandy anti-armor missiles, and helmet-mounted sights.--Stephen V Cole
