US Army infantry praise the Stryker combat vehicle (an eight-wheeled armored personnel carrier) for its smooth ride, noting that they are far less sore and tired when deploying from this vehicle than from an M113 or Bradley. Soldiers also note that the vehicle is much quieter, inside and out, moving or sitting still, than the two tracked vehicles. The Stryker has yet to see combat and it is unknown how its lower protection rating and thinner armor will stack up in the minds of its future combat veterans.--Stephen V Cole
