The British want to take an equal partnership in the $20 billion US program to field a network of 24 new spy satellites (the Future Imagery Architecture program) that can provide real-time high quality video of anywhere on Earth at any time, even through clouds. The problem is the high cost, which may be more than the British can afford.--Stephen V Cole
