According to a story (alleged to be true) circulating among U.S. government Internet managers, students majoring in computer science at some Chinese colleges have the option of graduating with "special honors" if they first demonstrate their ability to compromise a U.S. government website or break into a secure U.S. email system. Such a student would then be eligible for higher paying and more prestigious jobs in the growing cyberwar department of the Chinese military.
