The Royal Australian Navy has sent the first of its S70B2 SeaHawk helicopters in for a major refit. The SeaHawks are used from Australian destroyers for recon, anti-submarine, and missile-attack missiles. (They can carry Penguin anti-ship missiles.) The refit will improve the ability of the helicopters to track submarines and surface ships at night and in bad weather. This will give them about the same capabilities as the new SH2G Super Seasprites being ordered for use by the ANZAC frigates.-Stephen V Cole
