Europe is furious with the British after London signed on to the US Joint Strike Fighter program. Part of the deal with the US is that British companies cannot pass on US stealth technology to the French, Germans, or anyone else. This runs afoul of a previous European deal (including Britain, France, Germany, and Sweden) to build their own stealth demonstration aircraft. With British companies unable to even talk about stealth, the Europeans are threatening to kick London out of the pact and will probably do so.--Stephen V Cole
