A senior Northern Alliance commander was killed in an ambush. The killers were Wahabis that this commander (Najmuddin Khan) was feuding with. The UN is considering expanding the sanctions imposed November 14th because the Taliban would not hand over Osama Bin Laden. The Taliban announced they were willing to negotiate with the UN over the matter.
