Romania and Hungary reached a new agreement over Romanias Hungarian minority. At issue was the Hungarian Status Law in Romania. Basically, Hungary will be allowed to support institutions which promote the Hungarian language and culture in Romania. Romania wants to join NATO and the minorities issue (which at one time led to talk about a border war) is a problem both Hungary and Romania want to put behind them.
