A large bomb went off during a meeting of the major political party in Bangladesh, the Awami League. At least 21 died and over a hundred were injured. Islamic fundamentalists were suspected, although no one has taken responsibility for the blast. Meanwhile, the Bangladesh navy received the fifth new, hundred million dollar frigate. The 2,300 ton ship, built in South Korea, has a crew of 155.  In Kashmir, security forces killed three rebels.
