Japan announced that it feared North Korea had deployed Rodong missiles. These rockets have a thousand kilometer range and thus can reach Japan. Although North Korea does not have nuclear weapons, they do have the capability of building chemical and biological warheads. Meanwhile, South Korea admitted that it had stockpiled chemical weapons for use in case North Korea used them. But South Korea also plans to have destroyed all its chemical weapons by 2006.
