: Heres an example of the expanded use of apartheid in propaganda. Apartheid now serves the same role as fascist, and has even more bite in Africa. The SPLA has asked the UN to declare the Sudanese government (Khartoum) an apartheid regime. AFP reported it had received a statement from the SPLA that described the Sudanese government thusly: "The regime in power (in Khartoum) is characterized by a religious and cultural arrogance, a contempt for cultures and beliefs of society...and by attempts to remodel Sudanese citizens in the name of Islam."
