Three days after the Kyrgyzstan government fell to popular demonstrations of dissatisfaction, the looting has been stopped by the reappearance of the police, and vigilante groups protecting their neighborhoods. The two parliaments (the old one and the newly elected one) are arguing over who should be in charge. New presidential elections will be held June 26th. Former president Askar Akayev showed up in Russia, where he insisted he was still president of  Kyrgyzstan. The courts have said the new parliament, which many people felt was elected with fraud, and triggered the uprising, should be in charge.
