 Rebel violence left ten civilians and rebels dead in several incidents. 

Newspaper reports indicate that the rightist rebel group AUC, which is negotiating a surrender deal with the government, is discussing an arrangement whereby the AUC would provide considerable inside information on the operations of drug gangs the AUC (and leftist rebels as well) have been working with.
