Clashes between Moslems and Christians in Central Sulawesi left one dead and several others wounded. Violence in this area since 1999 has left over 300 dead and thousands of homes and businesses destroyed. In Aceh, a local politician was killed by an unidentified gunman. In Irian Jaya, a rebel leader was killed and 18 rebels arrested.
