  After shots were fired at the Egyptian embassy, the government suggested that foreign diplomats stay off the streets. More soldiers were assigned to guard embassies. The attack was blamed on rebels, although many of the government's followers are angry at UN sanctions against Liberia. There is considerable unrest throughout Liberia, as most citizens are now aware that Taylor's government is as corrupt as the one he replaced.
