In the last two days, army operations killed 38 rebels. 

The rebels released all the hundred high school students and school staff they had kidnapped last week. The rebels had told the teachers that, "they needed young boys and girls for the revolution." But this forcible recruiting of teenagers has been causing the rebel movement a bad image overseas and they have to take care of their image lest they lose whatever overseas support they have.
